Many West Bromwich Albion supporters have been reacting to Nathan Ferguson looking likely to be leaving the Hawthorns before the end of the window, with Crystal Palace having agreed a deal for the defender, according to the Daily Mail.

Ferguson was an excellent performer for the Baggies during the first half of the campaign, having been given his chance to impress in the first team by Slaven Bilic, and the defender’s versatility has been a key asset for West Brom throughout the season for far with the 19-year-old playing in both full-back positions.

The defender has offered the Baggies a strong defensive presence down both the right and left-hand sides when he has featured, while the 19-year-old has also shown he can cause problems going forwards at the other end having scored one goal and provided one assist in 21 league appearances.

Given Ferguson’s form it has been little surprise to see him attracting the interest of sides in the Premier League, and given the defender is out of contract at West Brom in the summer the Baggies would have been wanting to ensure that they picked up a decent fee for the 19-year-old.

Some West Brom fans have been suggesting that they are pleased to see the transfer saga over the defender’s potential future looking like it is going to be put to rest, while others have been questioning why Bilic started him at left-back in their 2-1 defeat at Cardiff City on Tuesday given he is likely to be leaving.
