The agent of Hull City's Kamil Grosicki has hinted that the winger could remain at the club beyond the end of the current transfer window, claiming that it could be a quiet end to the summer for the Pole.

There has been much speculation about the future of Grosicki since the end of the season, with Hull's Championship rivals Middlesbrough and Nottingham Forest both linked with a move for the 31-year-old.

It has also recently been reported that The Tigers' would be willing to let Grosicki leave this summer for around £4million.

Now however the player's agent has suggested that the Pole may still be a regular feature at The KCOM Stadium next season.

Speaking on Polish television channel TVP Sport, Daniel Kaniewski was quoted by The Hull Daily Mail as saying: “There is always a lot going on around Kamil. This time it will not be loud about him.

“We are currently wondering if staying in Hull City for the next six months or even a year will not be the best solution for him. We'll see how it all goes."

Discussing Grosicki's ambitions for the coming campaign, Kaniewski revealed: “The finals of the European Championship will be played in a year. This tournament is key to him.

"This will be a great challenge for all of us. We have no right to make a mistake.”

Grosicki joined Hull from French side Rennes in January 2017, he has made 93 appearances and scored 18 goals in all competitions for the Tigers.

There are just 12 months remaining on the Pole's current contract at the KCOM Stadium, meaning the winger could leave on a free transfer this time next year if he does not sign a deal with the club.

The Verdict

It is hard to know how Hull fans will feel about these comments.

On the one hand, Grosicki's performances at Hull last season show just how important he is to the Tigers, and keeping him at the KCOM Stadium will be a significant boost for their prospects next season.

However, that does mean that the Tigers run the risk of losing Grosicki for nothing in 12 months time, making it even harder for them to replace the Pole when they are unable to receive a fee with which to do so.

It is also worth noting that it is possible these comments have been made in order to spark a response among those sides linked with Grosicki, who may now sense a free run at signing the player with no other moves currently being made for him.
