Nottingham Forest have had an exceptional summer so far this window with them making some very eye-catching signings.

From the get-go in this market, it was clear that the Reds wanted to show that they meant business but actually delivering on that can prove harder than first thought.

No such problems have befallen the Tricky Trees this year, though, and there is surely potential for them to continue their summer recruitment drive after Neil Warnock's latest update.

Indeed, as quoted by Wales Online, Warnock has revealed that there is interest in his forward Lee Tomlin.

Could, then, this be a boost for Forest? Earlier this window the Nottingham Post suggested that Tomlin was a target for the Reds this summer and it is well-known that Aitor Karanka likes the attacker.

Of course, this is by no means a cut and dry transfer as things stand but it seems fair to say that if Forest want him, they've a good chance of getting into negotiations.

The Verdict

Forest have signed a fair amount of attackers this summer but they might feel that Tomlin is worth adding if he is available.

He's a player that performed well for the Reds on loan last season and he works well under Karanka - so it'd be no surprise to see any deal come off this window.
