Premier League giants Chelsea have recently been dealt a massive blow for the next year, with news emerging that the club have been hit with a transfer ban for the next couple of transfer windows.

The London club are restricted from making any signings for the next two transfer windows, after breaching FIFA's rules regarding the signing of players aged under 18, with the governing body punishing them with a £460,000 fine and a two-window transfer ban.

This is a big blow for Chelsea - their hopes of securing a Champions League this season look to be over after a dismal month under Maurizio Sarri, and their inability to sign any new players over the next year will surely allow their rivals to jump ahead in the fight for Europe.

One very likely option for Chelsea is that they may have to start using their very talented youngsters, who have previously been frozen out at Stamford Bridge.

Tammy Abraham is continuing to impress out on loan at Championship side Aston Villa, with Mason Mount also playing an integral role in Derby's push for promotion to the Premier League this season.

The latter has failed to make an appearance for Chelsea, and has endured impressive loan spells at Vitesse Arnhem as well as Pride Park this year - and the playmaker has got to be fancying his chances of becoming a first-team regular next season.
