Nottingham Forest remained unbeaten at the weekend but only just as they got a late goal via Hilal Soudani against a forward-thinking Wigan Athletic side.

The Reds haven't lost yet but they have come close this season and there is room for improvement.

Of course, with all the new players coming in things still need to gel and so they should not be getting too worried, especially with a decent amount of points on the board despite that.

One thing that might split the fan-base, meanwhile, is the news that Ben Brereton is wanted by Blackburn Rovers and that a bid of £8m has been made - according to the Sun.

Surely, this is news that might create a difference in opinion among the Reds.

In one camp, fans will be of the opinion that his potential makes him worth more than that.

Certainly, we've seen in flashes that he could be a Premier League forward in the future with him still very young.

However, some will also say that that is only potential and nothing is guaranteed - with him enduring a more lean spell last season in terms of goals and minutes.

Those that think that, then, might just say take the money and run but you get the feeling unless the Reds get a lot more, such an exit would leave a good amount of fans in both the for and against camps.
