Luton Town were many pundits dark-horses going into this Championship this season, but they go into the international break on the back of four-straight losses.

A 3-0 defeat at Reading last time out saw Graeme Jones’ Luton go into the break with just one win in seven to place them a point and a place above the relegation zone.

After their barnstorming season in League One last time out, many had tipped Luton to have a solid season in the Championship this time around, maybe even push for a spot in the top-half of the table.

But that’s not been the case so far and with every passing fixture and defeat, the Hatters look more likely for an immediate return to League One.

And looking at their upcoming fixtures, fans will be fearing the worst too - Luton will play three games in the space of a week at the end of this month, facing Leeds, Charlton and Brentford.

The visit of Leeds will arguably be their toughest home assignment of the season and it’s more than likely going to end in a fifth-straight defeat for Jones’ side.

A few days later Charlton will visit Kenilworth Road and after their downturn in form will be looking for a points-haul there, whilst Brentford are one of the league’s form teams and will be looking for a win over the Hatters at Griffin Park at the end of this month.

The fixture list doesn't make for good reading if you’re a Luton fan. Three really difficult games lay ahead for them and come the end of this month, Jones could well find his side on a seven-strong losing streak in the Championship.

That’d surely bring his job under the spotlight and set Luton for a relegation scrap - all fans can do is get behind their team, and hope that their Championship dream can stay alive beyond this season.
