It’s fair to say that Said Benrahma’s impressive run of form hasn’t gone unnoticed, with reports from Le Buteur claiming that both Chelsea and Arsenal are eyeing a transfer swoop for the Algerian.
Benrahma has been in excellent form since joining the Bees in the summer and has been one of the main reasons as to why Brentford have faint play-off hopes alive.
He has seven goals and 11 assists to his name in a hugely impressive campaign so far for the tricky winger who is too hot to handle at this moment in time.
But many eyebrows would have been raised when he was linked with the Premier League giants, including the Algerian’s.
For every player, the dream to obviously play football to the highest standard possible and for the best teams in world football.
Chelsea and Arsenal certainly fall into that category and Benrahma will surely be tempted by the prospect of joining either club.
But for now, Benrahma will have to remain patient and build on the performances that have seen him linked with a move away from Griffin Park.
If he lets this speculation distract him, then there is no way that both Chelsea and Arsenal will further their interest in the summer with a formal bid.
But the 23-year-old will have to consider his next move carefully, otherwise it could have a disastrous impact on his development.
The winger is an excellent player at Championship level, but there is no way he would be getting regular minutes with either of the clubs interested in his services.
A wrong move to either club could send his career spiralling in a downwards direction, so Benrahma needs to remain grounded for now and continue to impress for Brentford for the remainder of the season.
