Nottingham Forest are one of a number of sides who have made excellent starts to the season, and will hope to add to their squad in the final week of the transfer window.

After completing the signing of Leeds midfielder Liam Bridcutt last week, Warburton said that he is not yet finished in the transfer window and could do with one or two more additions.

He has a week to find them, and he could perhaps raise the level of player he's looking for, as players may be convinced by the strong start to the season his side have made.

His luck may be in, too, as Forest compounded Newcastle's woes on Wednesday evening by knocking them out of the League Cup.

This has led to Rafa Benitez questioning he quality of his squad, slamming too many Championship level players.

One of those 'Championship level' players who has simply never worked his way into the side at Newcastle is Grant Hanley, and Nottingham Forest should definitely look to sign him.

They will need to act quickly, too, as other clubs will surely be looking to offer the Scotland international an escape route.

Hanley was signed by Newcastle last summer, quite simply because he had an excellent campaign at Blackburn Rovers, showing that he can be a quality player at this level.

Forest's defence was their greatest flaw last season, and it's hardly been much better this year.

Their starting centre back pairing of Matt Mills and Joe Worrall can certainly be improved on, and signing Hanley would be an excellent way to do so.
