Bolton Wanderers will be hoping to climb back into the League One top six this weekend as they travel to Highbury to take on Fleetwood Town.

Defeat to Oxford United and a goalless draw away at Cambridge United has allowed Derby County to leapfrog Ian Evatt's side and move into sixth place.

Bolton are level on points with the Rams and fifth-placed Portsmouth but as that pair play each other this evening, a win against Fleetwood would be enough to guarantee them a move back into the play-off places.

Saturday's hosts are unbeaten in their last five games in all competitions, however, and Evatt will take nothing for granted as he looks to put right some recent poor form.

With that in mind, we've outlined the Bolton XI we expect to take the field against Fleetwood tomorrow...

An illness has swept through the Bolton camp this week but if he is available, Manchester City loanee James Trafford should keep his place in goal.

Likewise, we can expect an unchanged back three with George Johnston, Ricardo Santos, and Gethin Jones reprising their roles.

Evatt will be forced to make a change in midfield, however, as Kyle Dempsey is suspended after being sent off in last weekend's goalless draw with Cambridge.

George Thomason may get the nod ahead of MJ Williams in his place and start as part of the midfield two alongside Aaron Morley.

As Wanderers' strongest options at wing-back, Liverpool loanee Conor Bradley and summer arrival Jack Iredale should be in the XI once again but we could see a change further forward with Dapo Afolayan in place of Elias Kachunga.

A lack of a regular goalscorer has been an issue for Bolton this term but Dion Charles and Jon Dadi Bodvarsson do look like the most dangerous pair at the moment.

They could have their work cut out for them as Fleetwood have the fifth-best defensive record in League One this term – conceding just 17 goals in 18 games.
