Premier League side Bournemouth are rumoured to be showing interest in Hull City captain, Michael Dawson, according to the Mirror.

Cherries boss, Eddie Howe is looking to shore up his side's defence in order to strengthen the club's chances of remaining in the Premier League.

32-year-old Dawson had been in fine form for the Tigers, before suffering his second injury set-back of the season.

The former England international had been a rock at the heart of the Hull City defence, and his manager, Steve Bruce, will surely be keen to hang on to his star man.

Dawson is joined by teammate, Curtis Davies, as another defender allegedly targeted by Howe and Bournemouth.

Davies has been another star performer for the Tigers this campaign, as the East Yorkshire side look to bounce straight back from last season's disappointment of relegation.

The Tigers are currently third in the Sky Bet Championship, a point below second placed Derby County, and Bruce will be more concerned about strengthening his squad than weakening it at this stage of the season.
