Bournemouth are all but promoted to the Premier League with only defeat at the weekend as well as a 19 goal swing between themselves and Middlesbrough standing in their way.

Whilst fans stormed the Goldsands pitch on Monday, Charlton set out to remind the Cherries that they aren't in the top flight yet.

The tweet was well received across Twitter and by Eddie Howe himself - speaking to FLW reporter Jack Rosser, Howe said: "I did see the tweet I thought it was very good,"

"Its very difficult you know while everyone’s celebrating if I come on and say ‘well hold on a minute’ I think I’ll be accused of being a bit negative so we’re aware that it’s not over and we’ve got a job to do,"

Should Bournemouth win this weekend and Watford fail to take all three points from Sheffield Wednesday, who held the Cherries to a point with an equaliser in the 96th minute, Howe's side could become Champions.

"I think it would be the end that we all want" said Howe who, to his own excitement, was labelled the English special one by Gary Lineker this week.

"But it’s not in our hands and that’s the frustrating thing from our perspective because we’ve lead the league for so long

"Unfortunately we’re now not in control of that and we’ll have to wait and see what happens regarding Watford’s score"

Whatever happens Bournemouth have had a superb season having been on the brink of liquidation just six years ago, however everyone at the club is hoping for results to go their way on the final weekend,

"I think all we have to focus on is trying to win our game if we can do that and it’s not meant to be then we will still be very proud of the achievements we’ve made

"I don’t think it’ll take any gloss off the day or the achievement itself but I think it would be the best way to finish."
