AFC Bournemouth are rivalling Wolves to the potential signing of Huddersfield striker Karlan Grant according to The Sun.

Grant has been hugely impressive for the Terriers this season, scoring nine goals in his first season with the club, after arriving from Charlton Athletic in January 2019.

His strong performances in recent weeks have been even more impressive given that Huddersfield have struggled to pull clear of the relegation zone in their first season back in the Championship.

Bournemouth's interest could be a tempting proposition for Grant as well, and he'll be keen to further his development at the highest level possible in the near future.

But it seems hard to believe that he'll be getting in the starting XI ahead of the likes of Callum Wilson and Josh King in Eddie Howe's side anytime soon.

It remains to be seen as to whether a formal bid has been made for Grant, but Danny Cowley will be doing everything he can to keep his talisman at the club for as long as possible.

Grant and his Huddersfield team-mates are next in action this weekend when they take on high-flying Preston North End, in what is certain to be a tough test for Danny Cowley's side at Deepdale.

The Verdict:

Surely he'll want to stay with Huddersfield until the end of the season at least?

Grant has really impressed me since signing for the Terriers, and I'll be the first to admit that I had my doubts as to whether he was good enough to make the step up to the Championship.

But he's hardly put a foot wrong since arriving in the summer, and I think he'd be more than capable of playing in the Premier League.

He won't be getting regular game time with Bournemouth or Wolves though at the moment, so he needs to remain patient before rushing into a decision over his future.
