Cherries midflielder, Andrew Surman, says that the squad are fully focussed on tonight's game after a disappointing result against Sheffield Wednesday.

The 28-year-old, who joined Bournemouth on a permanent deal at the start of the season, told Football League World reporter Jack Rosser that the squad have worked hard to get the game out their system: "We spoke after the game, obviously the mood was disappointed and the lads had a few days off and we’ve managed to get it out our systems

"We’re working hard and we’re not looking back. At the end of the day it was a point, that’s another point on the board."

Following the 2-2 draw the Cherries sit second in the Championship, and a win tonight against Neil Lennon's Bolton will virtually secure promotion to the Premier League.

"Our destiny is still in our own hands," said Surman, "that’s the message we got across on Tuesday and we want to keep it that way."

The former Southampton and Norwich man has experience in promotions, the play-offs and the Premier League, so his experience could be invaluable to Eddie Howe during the run in however Surman feels the team are well prepared: "I'm trying to lead by example, there’s a lot of pressure in football anyway but I think the players themselves have dealt with it pretty well

"It’s been high pressure and stakes every game, especially for the last month or so, I don't feel like at the moment I've had to do anything different, all the players are handling it really well and we want to keep that going."

As Surman and the rest of the squad aren't in action until Monday they will have to sit and watch their rivals play over the weekend but he is confident that it won't effect the players: "I’m sure I’ll be tracking the results" he said.

"No ban has been put in place on seeing other results, we’ll be following the results as it’s something that we’re all interested in. But like I say it doesn't really matter what the other teams do, if we win our last two games, we’re promoted and that’s all that matters."
