The Cherries have already made three unsuccessful bids, the most recent of which was rumored to be around £3.2 million with add-ons. Now, the Midlands newspaper is reporting that Gary Rowett's side have snubbed a fourth bid for the teenager worth £3.5 million with add-ons.

Gray has netted five goals since joining the first team under Lee Clark last season. His recent form has attracted attention from Premier League side Liverpool and Austrian outfit Red Bull Salzburg who are both watching the 18-year-0ld.

Rowett spoke to the Birmingham Mail last week and expressed that Gray had no intention to leave St. Andrews, "I have had lots of conversations with him recently, he has never once told me that he is keen on leaving the club.

"I just think it’s one or two people trying to stir things up." Rowett wants to see the youngster stay and realise his potential with Birmingham, "He is our player, I hope he stays, he’s a fantastic talent."

Speaking earlier in January, Bournemouth boss, Eddie Howe, told BBC Sport that he was interested in making signings, but only ones that would add to his squad. “It would be nice come the end of January if we can welcome one, maybe two players who can make a difference” Howe said.

Should he stay a Birmingham player, Gray and the rest of his side will host Norwich City on Saturday just two days before the transfer window slams shut on Monday 2nd February. A win against the Canaries could see the Blues rise two places to ninth in the Sky Bet Championship.
