Reports are suggesting that Galatasaray have dropped their interest in taking Hull's Abel Hernandez to Turkey, clearing the way for Leeds to swoop.

The Turkish giants had been linked with a move for the 8-goal striker, but their interest appears to have cooled after they expressed an interest in Ahmed Musa.

The transfer market is much like buying a house, clubs are in chains and waiting for one to drop before they can move for theirs. However, Turkish interest in Musa does suggest they've moved on from Hernandez.

Reports have also suggested that Leeds may be looking at Matej Vydra and that they can only afford to take one, the prolific Derby striker or Hernandez.

HITC speculates that Leeds are now on the verge of a deal for Hernandez, if that is the course of action they choose to take. However, both Cagliari and Cardiff are also reported to be looking to make late moves.

Hernandez joined the Tigers from Italian side Palermo for a club-record fee of £10m.

The Verdict

Phew, where do you start here? So, Galatasaray are not interested anymore, which clear the way for Leeds. Villa and Wolves had been mentioned in the chase for the free agent, but one has sights set higher and the other has financial issues.

Now, Cardiff and Cagliari are looking to get in on the action. All the while, Leeds might not even be that interested if they can agree a fee for Vydra.
