Birmingham City will look to end a four-game winless run when they travel to face Swansea City on Tuesday night.

Garry Monk's men had been performing very well as Christmas approached and looked like potential dark horses in the play-off race.

However, the recent run has left them seven points behind Derby County and they really need to stop the concerning form against the Welsh side, and here, we look at the XI we expect Monk to go with.

As we all know, Monk has been doing a great job because he has few resources to work with at Blues, so he's not in a position where he can make major changes to freshen things up.

Instead, he will have to hope the current group can rediscover their previous form.

Therefore, he is sure to stick with the back five that has done well so far this season, even though they were surprisingly weak against Norwich last time out.

But, he may look to make one change in the middle of the park, with Craig Gardner replacing his brother Gary.

That's simply because of the quick turnaround in the games and the former West Brom man will have more energy and he did make a slight difference when he came on at Carrow Road.

Out wide, Jota needs to do more for the team and in the final third, whilst Jacques Maghome will give the side an outlet with his pace and direct style.

Up top, the pairing basically picks itself. There are doubts about Che Adams future, with several Premier League sides showing an interest, but he remains a Blues player and has to start if available.

Target man Lukas Jutkiewicz will look to bully the Swans defence and his power in the air could be an area of joy for the visitors.

Ultimately, it's another tough test for Monk's men but he will have faith that his players can get back to winning ways - even if it won't be pretty.
