Adam Le Fondre reacts to Bolton player’s finalised transfer deal

Published

on

Adam Le Fondre has sent a message to his former Bolton Wanderers teammate Craig Noone on social media, after the latter completed his move to Australian A-League side Melbourne City.

The 31-year-old has signed a two-year-deal with Melbourne City and will complete his move when his contract at Bolton expires at the end of this month.

Noone scored two goals in 65 appearances for Bolton during his two seasons with the club and follows in the footsteps of his former teammate Le Fondre in leaving Wanderers for Australia.

Le Fondre scored 21 goals in 75 appearances for Bolton, before leaving to join Sydney FC last summer.

Both players will come up against each other in the A-League next season and Le Fondre sent this message to his former teammate on social media, congratulating him on the move.

Bolton finished 23rd in the Championship last season and will begin next season in League One with a twelve-point deduction, after being placed into administration last month.

Noone is one of several players to leave Bolton this summer, after months of financial problems at the club and is looking to begin the next chapter of his career in Australia.

Melbourne City finished fifth in the A-League last season, while Sydney FC finished second, before winning the play-offs.

The Verdict

With so much uncertainty surrounding Bolton at the moment, you can’t really blame Noone for leaving, as he looks to begin an exciting new chapter in his life and career.

Le Fondre is clearly enjoying his time in Australia and he seems pretty happy about the fact that his former teammate has decided to follow in his footsteps.

It will be interesting to see who comes out on top when the two come up against each other in the A-League next season.
