Leeds United have been hugely impressive under Marcelo Bielsa this season and they remain in the hunt to win promotion back into the Premier League.

The Whites are currently sat 3rd in the Championship table and will be keen to break into the automatic promotion places before the season reaches a conclusion in May.

Leeds' Kalvin Phillips and Liam Cooper were acknowledged for their positive performances this season as they were named in the EFL's Championship team of the year.

Leeds team-mate, Adam Forshaw took to Instagram to praise the pair on their latest individual triumph ahead of a season-defining period of the season.

The pair have been instrumental to the success of the Leeds team this season and have played a starring role for Marcelo Bielsa's side as they challenge for a long-awaited return to the top-flight.

Leeds supporters will be hoping that they can build on these impressive showings when they are next in action against Preston North End, in a game which could define their season.

But Bielsa will be hoping for a positive reaction from his players, after they suffered a shock defeat to Birmingham City at the weekend which saw them drop outside of the top two in the league table.

The Verdict:

They've really stepped up to the mark this season.

Phillips in particular has really impressed me and he has a bright future ahead of him, that's for sure.

They'll be keen to win promotion to cap off what has been a remarkable season for Leeds, after their previous struggles in recent years.
