Marcelo Bielsa has had his fair share of injuries to his Leeds team this season, with Stuart Dallas the latest player to join the growing list at Elland Road.
Many supporters will be hoping that key players can return as quickly as possible so that they can play a crucial part in their promotion push this year, as the club target a return to the Premier League after a lengthy spell away from the top flight.
Adam Forshaw has impressed since his return to the Leeds starting XI and he will be confident of leading their charge up the table, with Leeds currently second in the table heading into the festive period.
Speaking to Leeds Live in a press conference ahead of the game against QPR, the midfielder gave his honest verdict on the injuries suffered to his side this season: “Never known it like this. Strange injuries. Not run of the mill muscle injuries.
“Unfortunate, but young lads in the wings have stepped up to the same standard.”
Forshaw will be hoping that he can stay fit for the remainder of the season as he has established himself as a regular in Bielsa’s side after an injury hampered his own season.
Leeds host QPR at the weekend, in what could be a potentially tricky fixture, especially with the injuries Leeds are suffering with.
It certainly is a concerning situation for Marcelo Bielsa.
The Leeds boss has never had his strongest XI available to him, which will be hugely frustrating, as Leeds could comfortably be clear at the top of the table if they had their key players available.
But, in some ways, it is a credit to the players that are available, as they have shown that they can be relied upon if injuries do occur during the season.
