West Bromwich Albion's grip on the top-two loosened on Tuesday night, after they were held to a 0-0 draw at home to Fulham.

Slaven Bilic's side were unable to return to winning ways after drawing with Blackburn at the weekend, and couldn't break down a Fulham side that have already secured their play-off place this term.

The stalemate leaves the door wide open for Brentford to make it seven wins from seven since the season's restart tonight, and close the gap on the Baggies to just one point.

Albion weren't at their best by any means on Tuesday night, especially in the final third, where they failed to create any real clear-cut chances.

Defensively, though, Bilic will be satisfied with his side's display, and how they managed to nullify the threat posed by the dangerous Aleksandar Mitrovic.

One player who stood out for Albion was Ahmed Hegazi, with the Egyptian continuing to impress at such a crucial stage of the season.

The central defender won no end of aerial duels, and was on the line to deny a goalbound effort from Ivan Cavaleiro in the first-half, which could have made the night a whole lot worse for the hosts.
