It was a good day for Sunderland on Saturday, as they beat Burton Albion 3-0 at the Pirelli Stadium.

Goals from Grant Leadbitter, Lynden Gooch and Charlie Wyke were enough to secure all three points for the Black Cats, who made it back to back wins in the league with victory over the Brewers.

That results means that Lee Johnson’s side have now climbed into the play-off places in the League One table, and are eight points adrift of an automatic promotion.

One man who was particularly impressive for Sunderland on Saturday, was the aforementioned Gooch.

Did there 15 former Sunderland players leave the club for a higher or lower fee than they arrived for?

As well as netting a spectacular goal to make it 2-0 for his side, the American produced an impressive display in the right-wing back position, providing both a threat for his side going forward, and offering a useful source of protection in defence as well.

That is something that did not go unnoticed by a number of Sunderland fans as they took to Twitter to give their thoughts on the game, with many keen to praise Gooch for his performance.

Here, we take a look at what some of those supporters had to say about the 25-year-old’s latest outing.
