Sheffield Wednesday manager Jos Luhukay insists that Cameron Dawson is performing well as the club's number one and appeared to shut the door on a potential return for Keiren Westwood.

The Ireland international lost his place last season after suffering with injury, but was expected to win his place back given his performances over the years.

However, the 33-year-old has been frozen out at Hillsborough in this campaign and he is yet to be involved in a matchday squad.

That has prompted many to speculate that he has either had a falling out with Luhukay or it's down to a contract clause, with Westwood a big earner and his current deal up this summer.

Yet, the boss wouldn't be drawn on that, telling Sheffield Star journalist Dom Howson that 'it’s not a discussion', whilst he praised current number one Dawson, who has had a mixed season so far.

This didn't go down well with many supporters on Twitter, who feel that Westwood should be the first-choice stopper.
