Sheffield United manager Chris Wilder has done a sterling job at Sheffield United.

The boss helped guide the Blades to the League One title last season, and they are now flying high in third place in the Championship after an excellent start to the 2017/18 campaign.

The 50-year-old is seriously impressing, and you have to wonder if a team like West Ham could do with someone like Wilder to come in and shake up the Hammers' dressing room.

It's tough times for the east London outfit at present, and manager Slaven Bilic looks to be on the brink of the sack at the London Stadium.

So, should the Hammers axe Bilic and take a punt on Chris Wilder?

The writers here at FLW issue their verdicts....

It would certainly be interesting to find out if West Ham would consider Wilder, who is doing a fine job at Sheffield United in the Championship.

The likelihood is that the Hammers are looking for a more experienced head, should Slaven Bilic depart. However, Wilder has proved that he is destined for the top-flight, with the Sheffield United boss consistently delivering results, whatever level he finds himself at.

Wilder has a commitment to the Blades, and for now, it is hard to see him leaving. But it won’t be long before we see him in the Premier League.

Chris Gallagher

Wilder is certainly ready to make the step up.

West Ham won't go for the Blades boss, but he has proven himself as the outstanding boss in the EFL over the past few seasons.

Realistically, the lifelong fan is not going to leave Bramall Lane this season with the way that it's going but next year is a different story. He's done a marvellous job and it won't go unnoticed for long.

George Dagless

Absolutely.

West Ham may still have Slaven Bilic in charge but he his hanging on by a thread and I think he is going to go eventually this season.

The club should act sooner rather than later to keep themselves out of trouble, then, and try to bring in one of the most promising managers around.

Sheffield United fans won't like it, but it'll be a good move for West Ham if they can get it done.
