Coventry City are interested in signing goalkeeper Lee Camp on a free transfer, according to journalist Alan Nixon.

The Sky Blues are looking to bring in emergency cover for first-choice shot-stopper Marko Marosi, after he was taken off in the dying embers of the 1-0 win over Cardiff City after taking a blow to the face, subsequently fracturing his cheekbone.

Ben Wilson came on to replace him with only minutes left to play, but emergency cover will be needed ahead of this weekend's trip to Norwich City.

According to Alan Nixon, free-agent Lee Camp is alerting interest from Coventry, with the experienced shot-stopper still on the lookout for a new club.

Camp made 40 appearances across all competitions for Birmingham City last season, and has racked up plenty of appearances over the course of his long career.

It remains to be seen whether Camp would be first-choice if he did come in, but he is undoubtedly an experienced, knowledgeable head to have around the club.
