The Sky Bet Championship returns this week and there is a tasty looking fixture taking place at Molineux on Saturday evening.

Wolves play host to local rivals Aston Villa in front of the Sky Sports cameras, and it looks set to be an excellent spectacle, with both sides in good form.

Villa boss Steve Bruce will have some big decisions to make with regards to his starting eleven ahead of Saturday's clash.

An important dilemma revolves around striker Scott Hogan.

The forward has struggled since arriving at Villa Park from Brentford, and has found himself ousted from the starting eleven, with Keinan Davis and Jonathan Kodjia often starting ahead of him.

Could Bruce hand Hogan a shock start against Wolves on Saturday?

The writers here at Football League World issue their opinions.....

Chris Gallagher

Absolutely not. Hogan will be staying on the bench.

His goal return since joining for a substantial fee in January is appalling and he has lost out to 19-year old Keinan Davis. It just hasn’t happened for the striker at Villa Park.

There’s no chance of him starting but he has been regularly coming off the bench and a goal in a game like Wolves away would certainly boost his future chances.

Adam Simeoni

Not a chance.

Hogan is miles behind Jonathan Kodjia in terms of ability and likelihood to start, and Bruce will probably go with one up top at Wolves.

Hogan will be warming the bench once again, but opportunities could come in the next few weeks.

He needs to take them if he wants a future at Villa Park.

Alfie Burns

There is absolutely no chance Steve Bruce will hand Hogan a place in the starting XI against Wolves this weekend.

Aston Villa are on an excellent run of form, with both Jonathan Kodjia and Keinan Davis impressing in attack and it is impossible to see Bruce breaking up the dynamic duo.

Hogan will earn a chance at some point this year, but for now, he needs to bide his time.

George Dagless

A surprise, but you could see it.

Hogan has not been brilliant at all this season with Keinan Davis and Jonathan Kodjia ahead of him in the pecking order.

With Davis missing out on England U20 duty due to a knock, though, there might be a thought in Steve Bruce's mind to give him a rest.

Hogan would surely get the nod, then, and it'd be up to him to take it.
