Plenty of West Bromwich Albion fans have taken to social media to react to the reports that the club are interested in signing Sheffield United striker David McGoldrick.

Football Insider claim that the Baggies - along with their Championship rivals Leeds United - are keen on signing the experienced centre-forward this month, as they target promotion to the Premier League.

McGoldrick was a key part of the Sheffield United side that won automatic promotion to the Premier League last season and scored 15 goals in 45 league appearances for Chris Wilder's side.

The 32-year-old has been an important player for the Blades in the Premier League this season too, but he's failed to score in 18 top-flight appearances.

Baggies HQ asked West Brom fans on Twitter whether McGoldrick would be a good signing for Albion and many were quick to respond to the question and give their thoughts.

It's fair to say that not all West Brom fans who responded feel that McGoldrick would be a good signing for Baggies. Many fans were quick to point out that they see him as a similar kind of striker to Hal Robson-Kanu and Charlie Austin.
