Nottingham Forest supporters have been getting involved in a debate over who has been the Reds' worst performer so far this season, with the fans in agreement that the suggestion Sammy Ameobi has been the club's worst performer is a harsh one.

Ameobi arrived at the City Ground in the summer following his departure from relegated Bolton Wanderers, and the attacker's addition looked a sensible one given he had managed to perform well in a struggling side last campaign, scoring four goals and registering three assists in 30 appearances for Bolton last term.

Sabri Lamouchi has made Ameobi a key part of his side in the opening months of the season, with Ameobi making 13 appearances for the Reds, and he has shown flashes of his ability to commit defenders and open up space for Forest's other attacking players, as well as his ability to add a few vital goals.

However, Ameobi has found himself in and out of the starting line-up at times, although he has started in the Reds' last two games in defeats at Wigan Athletic and at home to Hull City, with the attacker not really performing at his best in either, although he did offer a little more creativity than a few of Forest's other attacking players at Wigan.

So far Ameobi has scored just once, a vital header in the Reds' 3-2 win at Stoke City, and he will be hoping to add a few more goals to his game over the next few weeks and months to truly establish himself at Nottingham Forest, and Lamouchi will be eager to see more creativity from him as he looks to turn around the first real dip in form during his time in charge.

Forest supporters, though, have been keen to point out that they do not think he has been the club's worst player so far this season, with some offering other players who have performed worse than the attacker...
