Ipswich Town supporters have been heaping praise on goalkeeper Tomas Holy, following the 27-year-old's performance in the Tractor Boys' goalless draw against Wycombe Wanderers at Portman Road.

The Tractor Boys faced Wycombe looking to close the gap on their opponents, who started the day five points clear at the top of the League One table, and Ipswich thought they had the lead when Chambers’ header was deflected into the net, but with the players all waiting for the restart, the referee elected to rule the goal out for offside.

In the end Lambert’s side needed an excellent penalty save from goalkeeper Tomas Holy, who superbly kept out Joe Jacobson's spot kick, in the final five minutes of the game, to ensure that they did not suffer a defeat at Portman Road and lose more ground on their opponents.

Holy had been left out of the Ipswich side by Lambert during the Tractor Boys' last few League One matches, following back to back defeats against Accrington Stanley and Rotherham United, with Will Norris coming into the side and performing fairly well over the last few weeks.

Can you name Ipswich Town’s last 15 managers?

However, following the Tractor Boys' 2-2 draw against Blackpool at Portman Road on Saturday, Lambert decided to recall Holy to his starting line-up for the visit of Wycombe - and his decision was rewarded by an excellent performance from the 27-year-old not just with the penalty save but the way he commanded his box and distrtibuted throughout.

It appears as though for now Holy has earned his place back in the starting line-up, but with Norris pushing him for his place the Tractor Boys appear to be very strong in terms of their options in goal, which highlights the strength in depth available to Lambert.

Here, then we take a look at what Ipswich fans had to say about Holy's performance on social media...
