Ben Watson has been a hugely influential player for Nottingham Forest under the watchful eye of Sabri Lamouchi this season.

The 34-year-old has been an everpresent for the Reds this term, starting in every one of Forest's 26 Championship outings thus far.

Watson came under criticism from a fair share of supporters - particularly on social media - in the early stages of the campaign, with many overlooking his leadership qualities in the middle of the park.

But the defensive midfielder has really stepped up to the plate and made a lot of fans eat their words - he is a rock in their midfield, and is arguably one of the best anchormen in the division at present.

At the age of 34, though, Watson is certainly approaching the latter stages of his playing career, therefore a big decision awaits the club and Lamouchi in the summer.

Watson's current deal at the City Ground expires at the end of the season, therefore Forest will be forced to make a decision on his future between now and the start of July.
