‘Absolutely gutted’, ‘Been class’ – Many Sunderland fans react to recent player update

Published

on

Many Sunderland fans have taken to Twitter to react to the news that defender Niall Huggins is set to be out for up to three months with a back injury.

The right back only signed for the Black Cats in the summer from Leeds United but has now seen his progress in a red and white shirt curtailed by this major setback.

It appears that the youngster has suffered an onset fracture, which means that he will need to rehabilitate for quite some time.

This will come as a blow to both the wider squad and Huggins himself, with the 20-year-old having performed well in the appearances that he has been afforded by Lee Johnson up to this point.

Naturally the news didn’t take long to reach the Sunderland faithful, with many taking to social media to air their views on what is a big blow for their side.
