Notts County dropped out of the Football League for the first time in their history, as they fell to a 3-1 defeat to Swindon Town on Saturday. 

The Magpies have had a tough season both on and off the pitch, and last season's promotion-chasing campaign will seem a million miles away for those supporters.

But they took the lead on the day, as Kane Hemmings fired home from the penalty spot, before the home side responded on three occasions to condemn Notts County to National League football next season.

It puts an end to a lengthy spell in the Football League, and the club's supporters will be eager for their side to return to League One at the first time of asking next season.

It's safe to say that Nottingham Forest fans didn't have much sympathy for their local rivals after relegation was confirmed.
