Many Sunderland fans have taken to Twitter to react to the news that the club are seemingly set to sign Everton striker Nathan Broadhead on loan.
The 23-year-old frontman is said to be closing in on a temporary switch to the Stadium of Light as it appears that Lee Johnson is getting closer to strengthening a position that has been dying out for reinforcements.
Losing Charlie Wyke this summer was a big blow for the Black Cats, however it now seems that they have found a player who could well step into their former top scorers’ shoes moving forwards.
Naturally the news of Broadhead’s expected arrival in the North East didn’t take long to reach the Sunderland faithful, with many taking to social media to react to the proposed transfer.

Not a spectacular record, but recruitment team have earned our trust now I'd say. Sounds like competition on the wing and at striker rather than an out and out guaranteed starter.

A very slight look at Broadhead as a player, a counter attack from Everton's Preseason.
He looks like he has a good turn of pace, which we are absolutely desperate for.https://t.co/yDwk00or5Y https://t.co/IxWsHbD2y6
