Plenty of Bolton Wanderers fans have taken to social media to react, after the club confirmed that defender Jack Hobbs has rejoined the club on a deal until the end of the season.

The 31-year-old first joined Bolton last summer after leaving Nottingham Forest and scored one goal in 27 appearances for the Trotters last season.

Bolton were relegated from the Championship last season and started this season in League One with a twelve-point deduction, after the club were placed into administration in May.

The club were in danger of liquidation and being expelled from the EFL, until the Football Ventures consortium completed their takeover of the club on Wednesday.

The team have taken just one point from their opening four league games this season and have lost their last two matches 5-0 to Ipswich Town and Tranmere Rovers.

Bolton's teams for their opening four games of the season have been largely made up of youth players, but after the arrival of Hobbs they now have six senior players on their books - although two of them are goalkeepers.

The transfer window for lower league clubs closes on Monday, but Bolton would still be able to sign free agents.
