A number of Nottingham Forest fans have been reacting to footage that has emerged on Twitter of defender Joe Worrall’s jibe at Derby County following the 1-1 draw between the two sides on Friday night.

The Reds were denied a third successive win in the Championship with Derby scoring a late equaliser through Colin Kazim-Richards, after James Garner had put them ahead in the first half. However, the draw means that Forest are now unbeaten in eight matches in all competitions against their fierce rivals, since a 2-0 loss against them in away from home in 2017.

Chris Hughton’s side were arguably the better team throughout the game and it was another performance that highlights the impressive improvements that have been made in recent weeks. The Reds are now well clear of any relegation worries and can now even start to focus on a top-half finish which is now within reach.

Following the game footage emerged on Twitter of Worrall when speaking to Sky Sports, being asked whether the disappointment in the draw at Derby shows the improvements they have made and he responded with a jibe at the Reds’ rivals.

He said: “Let’s not kid ourselves, we didn’t play Barcelona, it was Derby.”

Many Nottingham Forest fans loved Worrall’s comments and suggested that it is passion like this that shows he should be the Reds’ captain for the long-term.
