West Bromwich Albion forward Jonathan Leko has impressed on loan with Charlton Athletic this season and many Addicks fans are urging the club to sign him permanently if he is available.
The 21-year-old joined Charlton in August on a season-long loan alongside fellow Baggies teammate Sam Field, and both have proven useful assets for Lee Bowyer.
Leko was playing arguably the best football of his career at Charlton, having grabbed five goals and four assists in 21 appearances for the club, before suffering an ACL injury in December.
That injury ruled the forward out for the rest of the 2019/20 season and his loan deal with the Addicks was brought to an early end in January.
Leko’s deal at West Brom is set to expire in 2021 and with the club potentially returning to the Premier League this term, they may look to cash in on the 21-year-old.
Given the success he had there in the first half of the season, the Valley could be an interesting landing spot for him if he was to leave the Hawthorns this summer – though the off-field issues at the club and the threat of relegation may mean it is not a realistic deal.
Have these 15 current Charlton Athletic players been capped at senior international level? – Yes or no? Have a go now!
It certainly seems like one that would popular with the Charlton fans, however, many of whom have taken to Twitter to back a deal.
