‘Absolute waste of time’ – Loads of Bristol City fans react as player news emerges

This afternoon, Bristol City confirmed the departure of striker Rodri following the expiration of his contract at Ashton Gate.

The 29-year-old was brought in as emergency cover during October on a short-term contract following an injury picked up by Benik Afobe, who ruptured his Anterior Cruciate Ligament in training.

During his time in BS3, Rodri made just six appearances for the Robins as he failed to impact proceedings on the pitch, unable to find the net during his sporadic appearances as he also picked up a slight injury during his short spell at the club.

With Rodri departing the club, Bristol City now have the room to try and bring in another striker as they continue to hunt for a goalscorer who can solve their woes in front of goal.
