Notts County fell to a 1-0 defeat to Exeter City on Saturday, which leaves their League Two survival chances hanging by a thread.

The relegation-threatened side weren't favourites heading into this one, but their chances of gaining an all-important three points were increased when Exeter were reduced to ten men early on.

Ryan Bowman was shown successive yellow cards in the space of six minutes to leave the visitors with a mountain to climb as they looked to keep their play-off hopes alive.

But Nicky Law struck late on to condemn Notts County to their 20th defeat of the season.

The Magpies remain three points adrift at the bottom of the League Two table, and with just seven games remaining, their Football League future looks bleak.

With some favourable fixtures still to come this season, they need to be picking up points as quickly as possible, otherwise they will be in real trouble.
