Keiren Westwood is the latest player to be linked with a move to Leeds United, with the Whites seemingly keen to add the Sheffield Wednesday goalkeeper to their ranks.

Leeds lost Jamal Blackman to a season-ending injury last month, with Bailey Peacock-Farrell now the only senior goalkeeper available to Marcelo Bielsa at Elland Road.

According to the Mirror (December 11, page 53), Westwood is the man on Leeds’ radar, after the 34-year-old was frozen out at Hillsborough.

He’s yet to make an appearance for the Owls this season, but did feature for the club’s under-23s yesterday, his first involvement of the current campaign.

Westwood has made well over 100 appearances for the Owls in the Championship and helped them to two play-off appearances in that time.

There was plenty of reaction amongst Leeds’ supporters to this latest transfer update, with many behind the club if they choose to bring Westwood on board…
