Three Leeds United players were included in a Championship team of the year put together by writers covering the division, which has drawn a frustrated reaction from many fans of the Yorkshire club.
The Whites are top of the table as things stand and look in a strong position to end their 16-year wait for a return to the Premier League, if and when the season is resumed.
Marcelo Bielsa’s men are one point clear of second-place West Bromwich Albion and have a seven-point cushion over the play-offs with just nine games remaining of the 2019/20 campaign.
The style brought by the Argentine coach is focussed around success as a unit but there have been some hugely impressive performances by some of his players this season.
Luke Ayling, Ben White, and Kalvin Phillips have all been selected by a panel of 15 writers in their Championship team of the season (so far).
Helped select a Championship team of the year (so far) with 14 other writers.

There are notable omissions for the likes of Mateusz Klich and Stuart Dallas but three players out of a possible 11 shows how impressive the Whites have been this term.
These 15 players have played for both Leeds United and Everton – True or false? Have a go now!
The team appears to have frustrated plenty of Leeds supporters, with some taking to Twitter to fume at the decisions made – particularly the inclusion of Wayne Rooney.

Nice one, no need to read it now as it’s clearly full of absolute nonsense

Rooney was nominated over Bamford. Whoever cast that vote needs a good slap.

Klich and Dallas not even mentioned, these things are always about individuals and not how they’d work together

Somebody voted for Rooney? …utterly incomprehensible…
— Matt Crayton (@MattCray) April 10, 2020
Nobody in that team as had a better season than dallas

I know it’s controversial but why is Kiko not considered for any of these teams? He could still very easily win the golden glove?

Harrison should have been in there
