Many Barnsley fans have taken to Twitter to react to the news that Adam Murray has left his position with the club to take up a coaching role with Valerien Ismael at West Bromwich Albion.

Murray leaves his role as assistant coach following Ismael’s move to the Hawthorns, with head of sports science, Jonny Northeast and analyst, Jack Riley also making the switch to the Midlands club as the Barnsley exodus continues.

The report from the club goes on to state that all of the compensation money received from these moves taking place will be reinvested in the squad for the upcoming 2021/22 campaign.

Meanwhile an update on Markus Schopp’s new backroom team is expected to be made by the Tykes in due course.

Naturally the news of Murray’s move didn’t take long to reach the Oakwell faithful, with many taking to social media to air their views on the matter.
