Ipswich Town boss, Paul Lambert has been hit with a two-match touchline ban for his involvement in a melee in their game with Norwich City.

The club confirmed the news, and it will see Lambert miss crucial games against relegation rivals, Wigan Athletic and Reading.

Ipswich convincingly lost the game to their local rivals 3-0 at Carrow Road, and it didn't go down well with the Ipswich supporters.

There were high hopes for Lambert when he was appointed as Paul Hurst's successor, but his side have shown little improvement in their recent performances.

Ipswich are currently sat bottom of the Championship table and are one of the favourites to be relegated to League One by the end of the season.

Without Lambert on the touchline, their task of retaining their status as a Championship club, just got that little bit more difficult.

It's safe to say that Ipswich supporters didn't take too well to this latest announcement.
