West Brom today confirmed that they had re-signed Boaz Myhill on a one-year deal, despite releasing him just last month.

The Welsh international had been at The Hawthorns for eight years, largely as second-choice, before he departed in the summer.

However, he continued to train with the club for the past few weeks as he looked to stay in shape, and managed to impress key figures enough to warrant a new deal.

And, he put pen-to-paper on a one-year deal, where he will provide much-needed experience in the goalkeeping department.

The Baggies signed Sam Johnstone for £6.5m from Manchester United earlier in the window, with the 25-year-old sure to start the season as number one.

Meanwhile, Jonathan Bond also arrived to provide further competition, whilst Myhill will ensure the West Midlands side have three competent stoppers to call on throughout the campaign.
