Leeds United manager Marcelo Bielsa has been nominated for the Championship Manager of the Month award for August.

The Argentine coach has guided his side to the top of the Championship after a run of six games without defeat to start their season off in fine fashion.

Four wins and two draws have propelled United to the summit of the division in a month that saw them start the season off with impressive wins over Stoke City and Derby County.

Wins over Rotherham United and Norwich City gave Bielsa’s men their four wins of the season so far, having recorded draws with Swansea City and second-placed Middlesbrough.

Leeds have scored 14 goals and only conceded four, the second best record in the division.

United fans are undoubtedly happy with their start to the new season and are thrilled with Bielsa’s nomination.
