It was a routine 2-1 win for Leeds United at the weekend, as they overcame the challenge Blackburn Rovers brought to Elland Road.  

Leeds went into a 2-0 lead in the first-half thanks to goals from Patrick Bamford and Jack Harrison, and despite Derrick Williams’ 40th minute goal cutting that advantage, Marcelo Bielsa’s side were comfortable.

The Whites finished the game with almost 70% of possession, whilst limiting Rovers to only one shot on target (Williams’ goal).

Despite hanging on a little bit towards the frantic end to the game, it was Leeds that were really searching for a goal in the second-half, which made the view of Blackburn’s commentators on iFollow slightly bizarre.

A number of Leeds fans picked up on their view of the game, which was that Bielsa’s side weren’t as good as people were making out.

And, as expected, that’s something that has been widely criticised on social media.
