Leeds United are reportedly in advanced talks to sign Birmingham City teenager Amari Miller, which has drawn a frustrated reaction from many Blues fans.
The 18-year-old wide midfielder broke into the first team late last season and turned heads with his impressive performances for Lee Bowyer’s side.
However, it seems that could be his last meaningful contribution for the Blues as, according to Football Insider, Leeds are now closing in on Miller.
Birmingham have confirmed that the teenager has been offered professional terms but it is understood that the Whites have acted quickly and also offered him a contract, with the Blues said to be open to letting him leave.
The report claims that Everton had shown an interest in Miller, who has come through the Championship club’s academy system, but that Leeds are now set to win the race for his signature.
One question about every player in the Blues’ first-team – Can you score 100% on this?
This update comes not long after the announcement that Birmingham had been awarded Category One Academy status and has not been well received by fans of the Midlands club.
Many Bluenoses have taken to Twitter to voice their frustration at the reports of Miller’s impending Leeds move…
