The domestic transfer deadline has passed with Derby County unable to bring in the senior striker that boss Phillip Cocu wanted.
It leaves Wayne Rooney, Martyn Waghorn and Kazim-Richards as the only senior options up top, although Jahmal Hector-Ingram and Bobby Duncan are two youngsters who will be hoping to make an impact in the coming weeks.
Nevertheless, many Rams supporters are not happy that the club are in this position as they had hoped at least one new arrival would help transform the team into genuine play-off contenders.
That’s not to say Derby haven’t strengthened elsewhere, with Kamil Jozwiak and Jordon Ibe increasing the quality from out wide but the lack of numbers and quality up top is a concern to some.
Here we look at some of the reaction from the fans debating the striker situation…
Can’t describe how depressed I am for the rest of this season (clearly know the bigger picture) the recruitment department is an absolute disgrace and is responsible for us languishing in mediocrity for years and years. I’ve never felt so depressed as this since the clough years

It’s not exactly going to set the league alight. Keep it tight at the back and hopefully we can nick a win or two. Im not overly happy though

Such a poor final day …a striker was a priority after Martin left….a striker of equal or better quality …..the recruitment team fail to deliver.
