The domestic transfer deadline has passed with Derby County unable to bring in the senior striker that boss Phillip Cocu wanted.

Whilst Colin Kazim-Richards surprisingly signed for the Rams last night, Jack Marriott's departure for Sheffield Wednesday today means they haven't added any numbers.

It leaves Wayne Rooney, Martyn Waghorn and Kazim-Richards as the only senior options up top, although Jahmal Hector-Ingram and Bobby Duncan are two youngsters who will be hoping to make an impact in the coming weeks.

Nevertheless, many Rams supporters are not happy that the club are in this position as they had hoped at least one new arrival would help transform the team into genuine play-off contenders.

That's not to say Derby haven't strengthened elsewhere, with Kamil Jozwiak and Jordon Ibe increasing the quality from out wide but the lack of numbers and quality up top is a concern to some.
