Barnsley picked up a point against Bristol City yesterday thanks to a very late Cauley Woodrow penalty at Oakwell.
The Tykes had taken an early lead against the Robins but a quickfire double after the restart but the visitors in a commanding position and it seemed as though they would hold on for another victory.
However, a late challenge from Callum O’Dowda on Michael Sollbauer saw Barnsley awarded a spot-kick. Unfortunately, the Austrian was down for some time and required a stretcher to leave the pitch because of the foul.

And, during that break, which was around eight minutes, footage has emerged showing the Bristol City players trying to mess up the spot before Woodrow’s kick.
Thankfully for Barnsley, it made no difference as the forward emphatically finished with one of the last kicks of the game.
Despite the outcome, many fans of the Yorkshire club were livid with the actions of Dean Holden’s players during the stoppage. Here we look at some of the reaction…
Disgraceful what Bristol city players did, messed up the penalty spot while someone is on the floor going on a stretcher but luckily Woodrow doesn’t get distracted

No excuses for this. Cheating to gain advantage.
The players involved should be ashamed of themselves. Absolute disgrace.
I’m glad the penalty was scored to stop them from winning the game. Justice.

Why are we making this into a big deal? I would have hoped we’d have done the same roles reversed. Anything to win the game.

Ref is literally looking at them. It’s a disgrace

I’m a City fan and I can’t say I’m impressed with our players for that, would be fuming if it was the other way round.

Did one of the players get booked for this indiscretion?
