Nottingham Forest picked up an important three points on Tuesday evening, as they ran out 2-1 winners over Coventry City at St Andrew's.

The Reds fell behind in this one though, as Maxime Biamou opened the scoring after just 17 minutes with his fourth goal of the 2020/21 season.

However, Chris Hughton's side wasted no time in responding to going a goal down, as Lewis Grabban equalised on 22 minutes.

An own goal from Coventry City defender Michael Rose then put Nottingham Forest ahead for the first time in the match, and they held on for a hard-fought win over the Sky Blues.

The win sees Hughton's men sit 19th in the Championship table, having moved ahead of local rivals Derby County, who had their match against Rotherham United postponed due to a waterlogged pitch.

One player that played his part in the win for Nottingham Forest was midfielder James Garner, who was making his debut for the Reds, after signing on loan from Manchester United in the January transfer window.

Garner featured in the whole 90 minutes, and was clearly delighted to pick up a win in his first appearance for the Reds, having taken to social media shortly after the victory.

Plenty of Nottingham Forest supporters took to social media to issue their thoughts on Garner's performance against Coventry City.
