Having once again pushed admirably for the play-offs last season, Bristol City fans will be desperate to see their side go one step better this time around.

Lee Johnson continues to improve his side year on year and there is a real sense that the 2019/20 campaign could well be their year to break into the top-flight.

They have been busy in the transfer market too with seven new faces arriving, including the permanent signings of Tomas Kalas and Jay Dasilva.

But there have been outgoings, most notably Lloyd Kelly's £13million move to Premier League Bournemouth.

So, with all things considered, what can we expect from them this season?

Previewing their upcoming campaign is regular punter Jordan Hewlett...

How would you sum-up your summer transfer window?

"I was very impressed we managed to secure the services of both Jay Dasilva and Tomas Kalas permanently for very good prices given today’s market.

"But whilst our squad looks good I don’t think it’s really been improved from last season.

"I still think the window will be defined by whether a striker comes in or not as that failed to get us over the line last year."

Who will be your key man in the coming season?

"Our key man, if he stays, will be Adam Webster.

"When he was signed to replace Flint last summer it’s fair to say I was more than sceptical about it but he’s been absolutely outstanding for us, hence why we’ve been fending off interest from the Premier League this summer.

"It’s pivotal that he stays."

What would be a successful season for the Robins?

"A successful season would be promotion and nothing less.

"Getting into the play-offs and failing wouldn’t be a disaster but it wouldn’t be a success.

"It’s about time this club gets into the Premier League and this season is the best chance we’ve had to do so for over ten years."

Which rival team do you think is looking the strongest going into the season?

"Unfortunately, the strongest rival team that I can see so far is Cardiff.

"They’ve managed to keep their squad together and I think it’s written in the stars for [Neil] Warnock to bow out of management with a 9th career promotion."
