Safe standing campaigners are at Elland Road tonight as they travel the country looking to build support.

Standing has been banned in the top two English leagues since Lord Justice Taylor's report on the Hillsborough disaster recommended it. However, it is starting to gain support as safer methods have been proposed which should avoid such a tragedy ever happening again due to ensuring that parts of the stand don't just become one big group as well as making sure fans can sit if they so desire.

The campaigners are showing off to Leeds fans how the safe standing would work if it was implemented with Scottish side Celtic using it at Celtic Park. Standing is popular with fans with traditional roots in the game because of how it is an enjoyable way to watch a game, and fans in some grounds have continued to stand in certain areas even though it is not strictly allowed.
